OVERVIEW

Agile Project Management aims to address the needs of those working in a project focused environment who want to be Agile.

This workshop provides the ability to deliver Agile Projects in organisations requiring standards, rigour and visibility around Project Management, whilst at the same time enabling the fast pace, change and empowerment provided by Agile.

It addresses the needs of management, project managers, team leaders, business analysts and the PMO working in an Agile environment, based on DSDM Atern.

DSDM and Atern are Registered Trade Marks of Dynamic Systems Development Method Limited in the United Kingdom and other countries.
Workshop Objective - 2 Day Agile Project Management

This workshop is about providing an understanding of:

  • How to lay the foundations for successful Agile projects
  • How an agile project is managed
  • Clarify the different management styles needed for successful agile projects (compared to “traditional” projects).
  • Provide integration with PRINCE2®

PREREQUISITES

In order to derive the greatest benefit from participation in this workshop, participants of the 2 day Agile Project Management workshop should have an interest, and/or role, in the project management arena.

Those wishing to participant in the 1 day Agile Foundation Preparation workshop must have completed the 2 day Agile Project Management workshop (TC1189).

EXAMINATION & CERTIFICATION

The Agile Foundation exam is a 1 hour, 60 question multiple choice paper.

The workshop prepares candidates for the APMG Agile Project Management Practitioner certification.

The workshop builds on the 3 day Agile Project Management workshop and includes a review, consolidation of concepts and exam questions for the Practitioner level certification.

PREREQUISITES

Those wishing to participant in the 1 day Agile Practitioner Preparation workshop must have completed the 3 day Agile Project Management workshop (TC1189 + TC1193) and passed the Foundation exam.

EXAMINATION & CERTIFICATION

The Agile Practitioner exam is a 2 hour examination based on a project scenario, with a total of 45 questions containing 15 question lines, each of which attracts 1 mark, giving a total of 60 marks. The pass mark is 30 (50%). The Practitioner exam tests knowledge, understanding, application, analysis and evaluation of the method.

The Agile Project Management Practitioner qualification is valid for 5 years. Practitioners should re-register within 3-5 years of their original certification in order to demonstrate their commitment to professional development.
