Lean Manufacturing

Nominal Days: 2
Program Area: Business Leadership & Advanced Project Management

OVERVIEW

Lean manufacturing which is often known simply as "Lean", is a practice that considers the expenditure of resources for any goal other than the creation of value for the end customer to be wasteful, and thus a target for elimination.

Lean manufacturing is centred on creating more value with less work and is renowned for its focus on reduction of the seven wastes to improve overall customer value.

Lean Manufacturing helps an organisation by increasing efficiency, optimising flow, decreasing waste, and by using methods to decide what matters rather than uncritically accepting pre-existing ideas.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVE

This workshop will provide participants with the essential knowledge and skills to apply Lean principles to their own business using a methodology based on customer focus and continuous improvement. It covers the fundamental steps in creating and supporting efficient processes.
