Project Manager – Cybersecurity

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of Cyber Security and/or technology projects that enable benefits for our colleagues, customers and community. The Technology Project Manager will deliver projects in partnership with the relevant business areas while operating within the Digital Delivery department.
Duration: 6 month contract with high chance of 6 month extension
Location: Hybrid – 3 days in office (Geelong, VIC)
Role Responsibilities
- Manage Cyber projects aligned with strategic objectives, delivering measurable business and customer benefits.
- Define clear project objectives, assess business impacts, and prepare business cases with quantifiable outcomes.
- Develop and execute project management and communication plans, coordinating project teams and resources.
- Oversee budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Report progress and performance to project or program boards.
- Lead or support project closure activities and post-implementation reviews.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of hands-on project management experience delivering Cyber Security and infrastructure projects.
- Cyber security knowledge including Essential 8, NIST, SIEM, SOC, Vulnerability Management, ZTNA
- Strong planning, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proven success leading complex Cyber Security programs incorporating organisational change management.
- Post-graduate Project Management certification essential; Change Management certification (e.g., PROSCI) desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and negotiate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Solid knowledge of IT management, cyber security, and change management, supported by excellent communication and presentation skills.
