Data Migration Specialist

The Data Migration Specialist will be responsible for governing and executing the migration of data from AX to Dynamics 365 (D365) We’re seeking a specialist to manage the migration of data from legacy AX systems into Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Fabric. The role focuses on delivering accurate, validated, and well-structured data to support business operations and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute data migration tasks including mapping, cleansing, transformation, and loading.
• Validate and reconcile data across AX, D365, and Fabric environments.
• Support testing cycles and produce reconciliation reports prior to go-live.
• Collaborate with ERP teams, stakeholders, and data engineers to align with future-state architecture.
• Ensure migrated datasets are structured for reporting, analytics, and AI enablement.
• Identify and resolve migration risks and dependencies promptly.

Requirements

• Experience in data migration within ERP or enterprise projects.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 data structures and integration points.
• Proficiency with ETL tools, SQL, and data validation techniques.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Services.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
