Business Analyst

A Senior Business Analyst is needed for a short-term project focused on digitising and improving how Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS) are created, reviewed, and approved. The goal is to transform a heavily manual process into a more streamlined, accurate, and auditable workflow using an appropriate ICT solution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and conduct a gap analysis between existing requirements and specifications from a comparable system.
• Analyse business processes and document functional requirements.
• Apply BABOK techniques and SMART documentation.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders, cross-functional teams and other assigned resources.
• Document findings in a structured format to support decision-making, including areas of alignment, partial fit, and gaps.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Certification or equivalent experience with business analysis frameworks and methodologies accredited by the International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA) and/or other industry recognised organisations.
• Practical knowledge of project management methodologies, ideally across both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies and how they apply to and impact different business analysis techniques.
• Understanding of the composition and usage of a Training and Assessment Strategy in the VET sector would be an advantage but not essential.
