As a Senior Infrastructure and Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining networking and security systems, including CCTV and cloud-based applications, and for ensuring reliable, secure, and seamless communication across all sites while providing on-site support as needed.
Key responsibilities:
- Network Infrastructure – Design, deploy, and support LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks; troubleshoot issues; and perform capacity planning and tuning.
- Security & CCTV Systems – Deploy and maintain CCTV, access control, and security networks; integrate with infrastructure; troubleshoot and coordinate with vendors.
- Cloud & Application Support – Support cloud apps and SaaS, ensure secure integration with on-prem systems, and collaborate to resolve issues and optimize performance.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement – Act as main contact, communicate technical solutions clearly, and provide updates, documentation, and training.
- Monitoring & Documentation – Use monitoring tools to ensure system health, maintain accurate records, and support disaster recovery planning.
Key requirements
- Strong experience of networking concepts and protocols: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, NAT, QoS, DHCP, DNS
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, etc.).
- Experience deploying and maintaining CCTV, access control, and other security systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud application troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues.
- Proficiency with monitoring and diagnostics tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven customer-facing experience.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and organisational skills.
- Stakeholder engagement skills.
- Industry certifications highly desirable: CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, vendor-specific CCTV/ security certifications
