Project management training energizes staff

Two years ago, Ergon Energy discovered PM-Partners and its suite of training courses designed to provide real life education to today’s project management executives.

At the time, Ergon Energy Portfolio Manager, Julie Lee, was facing a challenge in improving the skills and knowledge of her business analysis team members, who were working in business change management and hence were running a variety of projects.

Ms Lee was attracted to PM-Partners due to our IIBA Certification, which enabled her staff to undertake training that allowed them to pursue an industry recognised qualification at the same time.

“We have been using PM-Partners exclusively for over two years and every time our team members return from training they are keen to express new ideas about how to improve our practice,” Ms Lee said.

Ergon Energy has also undertaken program management and business case development training which Ms Lee described as having “real-world relevancy” to her staff.

When Ergon Energy could not fit in with PM-Partners’ public course schedule, our sales team put together a customised program and delivered the training at Ergon Energy’s own premises. Our trainer and Ms Lee worked together to tailor the content, resulting in a highly relevant and personalised course for the staff.
