Executive Director – Future Network Delivery, Sydney Trains

Tony’s career spans more than 38 years in rail.

Tony is currently Executive Director, Future Network Delivery at Sydney Trains. In this role he oversees the significant program of works needed to build the Sydney Trains network to cater for future rail growth and demand in Sydney.

Tony was responsible for the successful coordination of rail transport for the Sydney Olympic Games. In 2011 Tony was seconded to Transport for London to assist with the planning for the 2012 London Olympics.

In 2006 Tony was awarded a Public Service Medal for outstanding public service, dedication and sustained commitment to State Rail and RailCorp in NSW.

Jodie Sangster is the CMO Liaison Lead for IBM Watson. Prior to IBM, Jodie was the CEO of The Alliance for Data Leadership (AADL), a network of industry associations including the Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA), the Institute for Analytics Professionals of Australia (IAPA), Digital + Technology Collective (DTC) and Data Governance Australia (DGA). Jodie’s extensive experience in the fields of global data-driven marketing and advertising spans over 20 years and includes experience throughout the US, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. She is a qualified lawyer, specialising in privacy and data protection.

Jodie also chairs the Global Alliance of Data-Driven Marketing Associations (GDMA), a consortium of 27 data-driven marketing associations around the world with a mandate to advance and champion responsible global marketing and advertising. She is a non-Executive Director on the Board of Amaysim, Australia’s fourth largest telco.

Michelle is the Design Director and founder of Neoteny, where she heads a team of Designers working across transformational and strategic system, product and service design projects for local and international clients. With a background in Industrial Design, Michelle has over 13 years of experience investigating, designing, building and transmitting world-class products and services for clients such as Tourism Australia, the Australian Federal Government, Etihad, NAB, Australian National University and Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

Michelle has also recently founded Train, Neo’s design education arm working with organisations to build effective, internal human-centered design (HCD) capability. Train has successfully built capability with clients including Contiki, Australia Post, and IAG.

Over the past few years he has been delivering customised transformation solutions, advising CEOs and Boards in the public and private sectors.

Adam graduated from Australian National University with majors in Economics and Accounting where he received the Australian Chartered Accountants University Prize and was awarded the prestigious ATTA Annual Award for Transformation/Disruption of the Year in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

He was named as 1 of the Top 20 most influential Australians in Asia by BRW and was granted the Order of Australia Medal (OAM).

Kyle is a Chairman, Non-Executive Director and Advisor with more than two decades of experience across the commercial, community and public sectors. He has a particular interest and focus in the technology, automobile, infrastructure, emergency services, health, disruptive business and tourism industries.
Kyle is currently a Non-Executive Director of Credit Union Australia, Chair of Drive Yello, Chair of Hunter Medical Research Institute and a Conjoint Professor in the Faculty of Business and Law at University of Newcastle. In December 2017 Kyle completed a three-and-a-half-year term as Chairman of the NRMA where he directed a period of significant cultural and operational change requiring considerable strategy and risk expertise.

Other highlights include: Deputy President of the Australian Automobile Association, Director of Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and board member of the Committee for Sydney.

In an executive capacity he established, grew and managed an independent car broking business that disrupted the motor vehicle retail industry. The company was purchased by a listed company.

Kyle is a Fellow of the AICD, has completed an MBA and a Harvard Business School Certificate in Disruptive Strategy and is currently participating in a Transformation Leadership Program at ANU.

Alicia is the Head of Investment Management & Delivery within Group Transformation at ANZ.  The Investment Management & Delivery Office is responsible for ensuring there is a clear thread that runs through from strategy, to investment allocation, the creation of work and delivery.  As part of Group Transformation the teams support the organisation such that the ANZ strategy is executed efficiently and effectively in service of our customers, our employees and our shareholders.

Prior to her role at ANZ Alicia held the position of Chief Project Officer for Telstra, where she led the organisation’s journey to establish project management as a stand-alone capability separate from IT, business and engineering skills.  Alicia spent several years as CEO, Human Systems International now a PMI owned company.  Her experience ranges through several industries including Telecommunications, Banking & Finance, Defence & Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Engineering & Construction, Mining, Oil & Gas and Government.

Alicia is also the chairperson for the International Centre for Complex Project Management (ICCPM). She holds a PhD in project management and psychology with a particular focus on how project managers cope with stress and a bachelor of business.

Chris Gillies is an experienced Non-Executive Director, Board Chair and an Advisor to boards on establishing IT Governance leadership in the boardroom.   She has established and chaired several Board IT committees and advises a number of others.  She is also an executive mentor and facilitator.  Prior to her board career, Chris’s roles included Executive, Group Services at St George Bank, CIO, Bank of Melbourne, Victorian Director of the DMR Group, an international strategic consulting company, where she specialised in mergers and acquisitions and in designing and implementing major change programs to deliver business results. Chris has over 20 years’ experience as a director and more than 40 years’ experience in business management, organisational change and information technology.

Justin has extensive international experience transforming, leading and optimising organisations and delivering projects with a blend of onshore and offshore resourcing models.  Most recently, he has been leading what has been dubbed a ‘Once in a Generation’ transformation at TAFE NSW.

Prior to TAFE NSW Justin spent 5 years at KPMG in the UK and in Australia leading global transformation and strategic change programs.  Justin’s career includes working in the Financial Services sector in Australia and the UK.  Justin was Global Head of Sourcing & Commercial for Professional Services at a major Australian Investment Bank with responsibility for sourcing and managing legal, insurance, audit, tax, consulting and financial services.

Justin practised as a lawyer and worked in major international law firms for a number of years before specialising in large scale project delivery and business transformation.
