Our PMI Agile Certified Practitioner exam preparation course provides the necessary study and preparation required to obtain the globally recognised Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and enable the fast pace of change and empowerment that is integral to agile.

The purpose of this certification program is to build a comprehensive knowledge base of agile best practices, to enable project managers and team members to apply the tools and techniques when working within an agile environment, with a goal of obtaining a professional certification credential of the highest calibre.

This course prepares participants to undertake and pass the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner Examination and, on successful completion, it will enable participants to:

The course also includes the practical application of agile tools and techniques associated with: agile analysis and design; estimating; communications; interpersonal skills; metrics; planning, monitoring and adapting; process improvement; product quality; risk management and value-based prioritisation.

As part of PM-Partners’ new integrated learning solution, this course offers students the option to attend our bespoke classroom in person or virtually by dialling in from a remote location. Trainers are skilled at both delivery methods and use the latest in virtual technology to simultaneously provide participants with the same interactive, multi-faceted and challenging learning experience. Whichever delivery mode learners choose, comprehension and recall techniques will be used to provide them with a solid understanding of PMI-ACP. 

For group bookings, courses can be customised to suit your requirements and conducted onsite at your premises, at our training centre, or virtually.

PM-Partners group is a Global PMI® Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.).

The certification exam has 120 multiple-choice questions and you have three hours to complete it. The exam may be taken via an online proctor from home or your office.

This qualification is valid for 3 years and certification holders must earn 30 Professional Development Units (PDUs) in agile topics within a 3-year cycle to actively maintain their certification.


Participants who have been awarded the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential by the Project Management Institute (PMI) are eligible to earn 21 PDUs for their participation in this course.

Participants holding any of the Project Management accreditations (CPPP/CPPM/CPPD) are eligible to earn 20 CPDs for this short course.


To be able to apply to sit the PMI-ACP exam, the pre-requisites are:

  • 2,000 hours of general project experience working on teams. A current Project Management Professional (PMP)® or Program Management Professional (PgMP)® will satisfy this requirement but is not required to apply for the PMI-ACP.
  • 1,500 hours working on agile project teams or with agile methodologies. This requirement is in addition to the 2,000 hours of general project experience.
  • 21 contact hours of training in agile practices.

No. This course is a preparation course only. At the conclusion of this course, participants will register through the Project Management Institute (PMI) to undertake the relevant examination at an additional cost.

However, you do receive a Completion Certificate from PM-Partners group stating that you have undertaken 21 contact hours of education. This will provide the prerequisite project management education needed to sit the PMI-ACP certification.


No. The exam fee is not included in the course cost.

  • Credit Card Payments: PM-Partners uses Stripe payment gateway to process Visa, Mastercard and Amex payments. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry so you can be confident that your card details are protected for online purchases.
  • Bank Transfer: We cannot guarantee your registration(s) until your payment is cleared (bank transfers take 3 days to process). Instructions for payment by bank transfer will be provided at the end of the order process.
  • Invoice: An invoice will be sent to you after you complete the booking. Payment is required 14 days before the course start date. If you're buying within 14 days, you need to arrange payment ASAP with a minimum of 72 hours before course start date.
