Overview

This foundational and knowledge-based certification is designed to provide participants with the necessary skills and expertise to deliver projects sustainably.

The GPM-b certification is the first of its kind, placing a strong emphasis on the importance of sustainable project management, offering participants the opportunity to improve the construct and delivery of goods and services produced as project deliverables, and use measurable standards to consider and account for environmental impacts throughout the project lifecycle.

As a GPM-b certified project manager, you will be able to demonstrate your in-depth knowledge and understanding of delivering projects using sustainable methodologies, setting yourself apart from other project managers in your field. You will be equipped with the necessary tools and resources to ensure your projects are conducted with the utmost sustainability, making a positive impact on the environment and the world around us.

  • Business case
    Understand how strategy relates to the business case, typical contents, and the evolution of the business case through the project lifecycle.
  • The P5 impact analysis
    Learn the structure of the P5 standard, how to use P5 impact analysis steps to conduct a sustainability analysis, recognising the people / social, plant and prosperity impacts, and interpreting the score.
  • Sustainability management planning
    Discover the contents of the sustainability management plan, roles and responsibilities, developing sustainability KPIs, and the impact of scope exclusions.

This course includes Certified Green Project Manager — Level B (GPM-b™) exam which is provided in two formats.

Format 1 – Short Form Exam (Recognition of Prior Learning)
For candidates who have satisfied one of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) requirements e.g. PRINCE2® or Project Management Professional (PMP)®.

  • 75 multiple choice questions (60 Qs on sustainability, 15 Qs on delivery methods)
  • 70% pass mark
  • 90 minutes in duration

Format 2 - Standard Exam
For candidates who have not satisfied one of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) requirements.

  • 150 multiple choice questions (75 Qs on sustainability, 75 Qs on delivery methods)
  • 70% pass mark
  • 3 hours duration

Sitting your exam

The exam is taken online after the course for candidates who have satisfied one of the RPL requirements with Brillium. Alternatively, if you are certified by PMI®, you can take the exam through them.

You have 1 year to schedule and sit your exam online.

The certification is valid for 5 years.

DEVELOPMENT UNITS

Participants who have been awarded the Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential by the Project Management Institute (PMI)® are eligible to earn 7 PDUs for their participation in this course (4 Ways of Working and 3 Business Acumen).

Participants holding any of the Project Management accreditations (CPPP/CPPM/CPPD) are eligible to earn 14 CPDs for this short course.

This course is for participants that have either:

  • Satisfied one of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) requirements, as stated on the Green Project Management website.
  • Attended the two-day PM-Partners PM Fundamentals course, or equivalent.

Please note that it is essential that you have a solid understanding of Project Management concepts as these will not be covered in the course.

Where is the training venue located?

Sydney courses are held at 45 Clarence Street, Sydney.
Brisbane courses are held at 215 Adelaide Street, Brisbane.

Our website offers three payment options for training courses. When you select "BOOK NOW" you will be taken to the checkout. Step two: "Billing Details" is where you can select from the three payment options:

  • Credit Card Payments: PM-Partners uses Stripe payment gateway to process Visa, Mastercard and Amex payments. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry so you can be confident that your card details are protected for online purchases.
  • Bank Transfer: We cannot guarantee your registration(s) until your payment is cleared (bank transfers take 3 days to process). Instructions for payment by bank transfer will be provided at the end of the order process.
  • Invoice: An invoice will be sent to you after you complete the booking. Payment is required 14 days before the course start date. If you're buying within 14 days, you need to arrange payment ASAP with a minimum of 72 hours before course start date.
