Agile Project Management Overview
Agile Project Management (AgilePM) offers a comprehensive framework for delivering agile projects in today's fast-paced and complex environments. COURSE OBJECTIVES
FOUNDATION
This course explains how to prepare for and run an agile project, highlighting documentation, techniques, roles and responsibilities recommended within the Agile Project Management framework.
This course will enable participants to:
- Adopt an Agile approach and philosophy
- Manage product delivery in line with Scrum practices
- Lead projects in line with the AgilePM framework
- Work effectively with AgilePM roles, process and products
- Prepare for and sit the Foundation exam
PRACTITIONER
The Practitioner course prepares participants to undertake and pass the AgilePM Practitioner Exam. This includes a review of key concepts and an exploration of the exam questions for the Practitioner level certification.
Note: The Practitioner course is an exam preparation course and focuses on the application of AgilePM to prepare candidates for the Practitioner examination.

Trainers are skilled at both delivery methods and use the latest in virtual technology to simultaneously provide participants with the same interactive, multi-faceted and challenging learning experience. Whichever delivery mode learners choose, comprehension and recall techniques will be used to provide them with a solid understanding of Agile Project Management.
The Practitioner course will be delivered virtually.

A participant workbook and the AgilePM® Reference Book v3 (published by the Agile Business Consortium) are provided to Practitioner participants.
FOUNDATION
The purpose of the Foundation qualification is to confirm that you have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the AgilePM Reference guide to participate in an AgilePM project as a team member or a stakeholder.
The Foundation exam consists of:
- 50 multiple choice questions
- 30 marks required to pass (out of 50 available) – 60%
- 40 minutes duration
- Closed book
Exam taken on the afternoon of day 3 of the Foundation course.
PRACTITIONER
The purpose of the Practitioner qualification is to measure whether you have sufficient knowledge and understanding of AgilePM version 3 to apply and tailor it in the scenario of a real project.
The Practitioner Exam consists of:
- Objective testing based on a case study scenario
- 60 questions
- 30 marks required to pass (out of 60 available) – 50%
- 2 hours duration ·
- Open book – AgilePM® Reference book permitted
All courses (virtual)
Online proctored exam taken after the course. You have 6 months to schedule and sit your exam online.
The AgilePM Practitioner qualification is valid for 5 years. Practitioners should re-register within 3-5 years of their original certification in order to demonstrate their commitment to professional development.
APMG International administers the AgilePM examination scheme.
DEVELOPMENT UNITS
Participants who have been awarded the Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential by the Project Management Institute (PMI)® are eligible to earn PDUs for their participation in this course as follows:
Foundation
- Weekday/Virtual (3 days): 21 PDUs (19 Ways of Working, 1 Business Acumen and 1 Power Skills)
- Weekend (2 days): 18 PDUs (16 Ways of Working, 1 Business Acumen and 1 Power Skills)
Practitioner
- All courses (1 day) 7 PDUs (7 Ways of Working)
Participants holding any of the Project Management accreditations (CPPP / CPPM / CPPD) are eligible to earn CPDs as follows
Foundation: 20 CPDs
Practitioner: 14 CPDs
FOUNDATION
Participants should have:
- A minimum of one year’s experience working in a project environment OR
- Attended a PM-Partners Project Management Fundamentals course (or equivalent).
PRACTITIONER
To be eligible to sit the AgilePM Practitioner examination, participants must have obtained a pass in the AgilePM Foundation exam.
Pre-course work
Participants enrolled in the AgilePM Practitioner course will receive pre-course materials designed to maximise the value of in-class learning and support successful outcomes.
Please be aware that pre-course work must be completed prior to the course.
Failure to complete pre-course work may mean that you are not ready to fully participate in the course and may limit your ability to gain the outcomes you are hoping to achieve.
Expected pre-course Practitioner preparation time: minimum 2 hours.
WHERE IS THE TRAINING VENUE LOCATED?
Sydney courses are held at 45 Clarence Street, Sydney.
Melbourne courses are held at 34 Queen Street, Melbourne.
Brisbane courses are held at 215 Adelaide Street, Brisbane.

IS THIS A CERTIFIED COURSE?
Yes. For weekday courses, the Foundation exam is completed during the course. For weekend courses and all Practitioner exams, the exam is taken online after the course. Upon passing the exams you will be certified.
IS THE EXAM FEE INCLUDED?
Yes. The exam fee is included in the course cost. Please note: You must have completed and passed the Foundation exam as a prerequisite to sitting the Practitioner exam.
