Empowering Agile leaders to enable integrated cybersecurity practices

Christina Arcane, Cybersecurity Education Specialist, PM-Partners

Day 1, 11.50am | L3: Ballroom B

In an ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape, organisations must adapt and fortify their defences to navigate the complexities of the digital environment. Join Christina Arcane, Cybersecurity Education Specialist at PM-Partners, for an engaging, interactive talk that sheds light on some recent real-world examples and consequences of cyberattacks and the need for non-security experts to step up and drive the conversation to address gaps and reduce threats.

Discover how Agile principles can promote a culture of security within organisations, with delivery practitioners taking the lead in facilitating a paradigm shift towards integrated secure practices. Explore how cybersecurity can be a catalyst for success, empowering organisations to reduce risks, build customer trust, and gain a competitive advantage.

Christina’s talk will discuss topics including:

  • Common failings and critical errors that could have been prevented in recent attacks
  • Why Agile leaders should look to embed secure practices into their ways of working
  • The commonalities between Agile and cybersecurity objectives and characteristics
  • Critical people, process and technology controls that are often overlooked
  • Communicating between business and technology stakeholders on cybersecurity topics
  • How you can advocate for cybersecurity integration, consider the details and ask the right questions.

Meet our expert speaker

As a highly dedicated cybersecurity educator with hands-on experience across multiple sectors and cybersecurity functions, Christina Arcane is passionate about bringing cybersecurity awareness to every layer of an organisation. Recognising the dangerous gap in capabilities within project and development teams, she has a particular focus on empowering delivery practitioners and change agents with the knowledge and skills to integrate security and privacy controls into their implementation processes from the start.

Christina’s core strength lies in her ability to translate complex concepts and tech jargon into clear insights and information individuals can use to identify cyber risks applicable to their role and make improved decisions. Drawing on her experience and in-depth knowledge of the modern threat landscape, she aims to ensure cybersecurity becomes an integral part of the delivery practitioner’s mindset, fostering a culture where every individual understands their role in safeguarding an organisation’s digital assets.
