  • Conduct pre-upgrade readiness checks and ensure post-upgrade validation.
  • Assist users with Windows 11 familiarisation, answering usability questions and supporting change adoption.
  • Deliver one-on-one and group floorwalking support during deployment periods.

Technical Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to compatibility, performance, application behaviour, and user profiles.
  • Support devices upgraded via Windows Autopatch, including troubleshooting update failures and compliance issues.
  • Assist with upgrade paths where SCCM is used in combination with Intune and Autopatch.
  • Validate device health and ensure core business applications are functioning as expected post upgrade.

Operational Support

  • Log, track, and manage incidents and service requests using ServiceNow.
  • Escalate issues related to Autopatch policies, device compliance, and deployment processes.
  • Provide feedback for improving upgrade processes and future deployment activities.
  • Participate in post deployment reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with IT teams, project managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Deliver clear, nontechnical explanations to users to build confidence and minimise disruption.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience as a Desktop Engineer or similar technical support role.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Windows 10 & Windows 11 operating systems
    • Microsoft Autopatch
    • Intune & SCCM
    • ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to provide user-friendly explanations of technical concepts.
  • Experience in fast paced project or transformation environments desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across multiple teams.
