Senior Application Engineer – Contact Centre Platforms

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Application Engineer to play a pivotal role in a large-scale contact centre transformation program. This position sits at the heart of a major cloud migration initiative, transitioning from legacy on-premises platforms to a modern, cloud-native Contact Centre as a Service (CCaaS) environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and deliver robust REST APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger, aligned with architectural standards and SDLC best practice.
• Develop high-quality, scalable, and reusable code across APIs and micro front ends.
• Contribute to planning, risk management, and dependency mapping within a large transformation program.
• Support and enhance DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth deployments and production readiness.
• Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex technical issues across development and production environments.
• Drive end-to-end quality through functional, performance, security, and automated testing practices.
• Ensure strong operational handover through clear documentation, knowledge transfer, and governance.
• Champion continuous improvement, emerging technologies, and mentoring across engineering teams.

Key requirements:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer delivering enterprise-grade APIs and micro front ends.
• Strong understanding of application architecture design patterns and engineering best practice.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
• Advanced debugging and troubleshooting capability.

Technical Expertise

• Languages & Frameworks: Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, React.js / React / Redux, REST APIs
• Messaging & Streaming: Kafka, MQ
• Databases: Cassandra, SQL (relational), NoSQL
• DevOps & Tooling: Bamboo, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, PowerShell
• Architecture & Practices: Microservices, SDLC
