As mentioned in previous articles of our ‘Introduction to Project Management Series’, if you review the roles within your organisation, it can be suggested that it’s not just those with the official title of project manager who manage the day-to-day projects within your business.

In our fourth article of the ‘Introduction to Project Management Series’ we provide a Checklist for managing key project parameters.

Checklist for Managing Project Parameters (Scope, Schedule and Budget)

  1. Ensure that there is final agreement on the cost, schedule and budget by the key stakeholders.
  2. Understand priorities.
  3. Maintain consistent and appropriate communication between the project manager, client, project team and key stakeholders.
  4. Be ready to negotiate based upon the requirements of the project and overall organisational strategy.
  5. Be prepared for change – understand the impact (and possible risk) on the project parameters.

Our Project Management Fundamentals Course (An introduction to project management) will cover the Checklist for managing project parameters in more detail.

As its name implies, this workshop will provide participants with the essential knowledge and skills to both manage a project end-to-end, and/or be an effective and valuable member of the project team. It covers the fundamental steps in every project’s life cycle and uses a real life case study approach in order to follow a project from conception through to completion and final review.
